The system online is showing seats available but I can't book them, why is this?

We have eight wheelchair seats available at every performance for our mobility patrons, these are held until approximately two days before the show and then can be booked by the general public via the box office directly. Call us during box office hours to enquire as to the availability of these seats.

Does Centrestage Theatre have mobility access?

The front two rows (A & B) are on flat floor and are accessed via a corridor from our ground floor entrance and foyer.

We do not have an elevator in our building so Rows from C to J are accessed via stairs. There are (removable) wheelchair seats available at both ends of Rows A and B, these must be booked via the Box Office by calling 09-426-7282 or email: enquiry@centrestagetheatre.co.nz

Which row is the first row of elevated seats in the main theatre?

Row C is the first elevated row.

Seating is tiered from Row C to Row J.

There is no restricted viewing at Centrestage Theatre, all seats enjoy excellent sightlines.

Can I hire Centrestage Theatre for my party?

Centrestage Theatre is a venue for the performing arts, ticketed events and arts related activities. We generally do not hire for private functions.

I have old costumes I'd like to donate, who can I give them to?

Contact us if you have costume or props items to donate. Our space is limited so please do not be offended if we cannot accept your items. Generally we are only accepting costume items which are of a period era, or are of special character e.g. Military Uniforms.

Please Note: We are not accepting real furs of any kind.

Please contact us at the box office if you have items to donate.

09-426-7282.

Are there booking fees? Refund policy?

Outside hirer events incur a credit card fee of $3.50 per booking (not per seat).

Centrestage Theatre Company events do not add a credit card fee as these are already built into the ticket price.

If you book and then change your seats, for any reason, there will be an administration fee of $5 payable at the time you change your booking. If you are a subscriber then changes within a season incur no additional charge.

Tickets are non-refundable, including season tickets.

In some discretionary cases a credit may be issued. This is determined by Theatre Management. No credits will be issued within 48 hours of the performance date in the booking.

Do you have a lost property department?

Centrestage Theatre will retain items left behind by patrons and visitors for no more than two weeks. After this time items will be disposed of or donated. If property has identification we will attempt to get in touch with the owner. If you believe you have lost or left an item at the theatre please contact us as soon as possible.

Why can't I use my member discount on the musical revue or on Broadway Gals shows...

Our musical revue and our Broadway Gals concerts are fundraisers for the Theatre and tickets are all at one price so these are not discounted.

The same applies to any of our performances that are all one ticket price, like our Wednesday night special ticket nights in main season productions.

I have special dietary requirements (e.g. coeliac disease/gluten/dairy intolerance/nut allergy) and the event I am attending includes food in the ticket price.

Who do I tell...?

Please call the theatre office at least one week prior to attending a performance if food is included in the ticket price. We will then aim to cater for your needs. Please note that as Centrestage Theatre has a single kitchen, under MPI rules we cannot guarantee that any food provided is completely free from cross contamination. Call the office on 09 426 7282, Mon-Fri between 10am & 2pm.
