Production History
By 1961 the society had grown to sufficient strength to produce its first musical, Wild Violets. This year saw the first attempt of several to find a home for itself. Land on what is now Western Reserve was considered, but the cost of a small concrete block building was beyond the resources of the society at the time The Sea Scout den was looked at in 1967, and the same year the Broady family made their joinery building in Pohutukawa Avenue, Orewa, this became available for the club’s use.
